Misha B. Krassovski
Misha B. Krassovski is a software engineer/computer scientist for the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) at ORNL. Krassovski is responsible for the design and creation of W.A.V.E.S. (Web-Accessible Visualization and Extraction System), a web-based interface for oceanographic data and metadata collections. He has also designed and implemented a web-based photo gallery and website for biofuel research data and metadata as well as the AmeriFlux Network data exploration and extraction system.
Krassovski obtained an ME from Moscow State Technical University in 1990. He is also professionally trained in C programming, Microsoft.NET development, IT network security, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database design and implementation. In addition to his work at ORNL, Krassovski has maintained a network/PC technician position with Advanced Systems Design, Inc. in New Market, TN since 1998. His responsibilities include installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WANs; Windows NT, Windows 2000, and NetWare servers; DHCP, DNS, and WINS services, as well as repairing PCs, laptops, palmtops, and servers.
Before beginning his work with ORNL, Krassovski held multiple positions at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville from 2001 to 2005 including programmer for the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, manager/programmer for the Office of Equipment Repair Services, and computer information specialist for the Agricultural Extension Service in the Information Technology Department.
